Hearing Aid Repairs
There are a few signs that indicate that you should have your hearing aids evaluated, including:
- Your batteries last a short time, and you find yourself replacing batteries often.
- You spot cracks, breaks, holes, or other damage on your hearing aids.
- You experience feedback and other unpleasant noises while wearing your hearing aids.
- Your device randomly powers off.
- Your Rechargeable batteries only hold a charge for 2-4 hours. (or less than your day).
If you experience any of these or other issues, bring your hearing aids to be evaluated. Our experts will thoroughly inspect your hearing aids and run performance tests on them. These inspections and tests allow us to identify underlying factors impacting your device’s performance. We will determine the type of repair work and time frame needed for repairs. Our practice will also provide temporary hearing aids to support your hearing while we complete the repairs.
A few common hearing aid repairs that we conduct include the following:
- Battery: there can be a few issues related to the battery. Related repair work includes fixing the battery compartment door so that it shuts or replacing wires.
- Tube: depending on the type of hearing aid you have, tubing typically connects one piece to another hearing aid component worn in the ear. This tubing can become damaged or even clogged by earwax. We can fix and clean this tube so that it works effectively.
- Receivers: cleaned or replaced as needed.
Needing occasional hearing aid repair work is common, so do not hesitate to bring your hearing aids in to be evaluated by our team!
